How to map apps and URLs to a category? (Map the App/URLs as productive or unproductive)

Updated over a month ago

To map apps and URLs to specific categories, follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the Settings > Productivity > Category Mapping

Step 2: Once in the "Productivity" setting, switch to the "Category Mapping" tab, which is specifically designed for mapping URLs. On this "Mapping" page, you'll find a list of URLs used within your organisation. Next to each app/URL entry, you'll see a dropdown menu with categories.

Step 3: To map an app or URL to a particular category, simply use the dropdown menu and select the desired category.

Step 4: After completing the URL mapping, return to the "Application Policy" section. If you haven't already created an application policy for your team, it's a good time to do so. To learn how to add a new application policy, refer to the guide titled "How to add an Application Policy?"

Important Note:

It's crucial to regularly monitor the "Mapping" tab, as new apps and URLs used within your organisation will appear here. You must map them accordingly. To identify any unmapped apps and URLs, simply click on the "Unmapped" button, as illustrated below. This action will display a list of apps and URLs that still need to be mapped.

Step 5: Now associate the policy you have created with the corresponding team by going to the teams page under Settings. To understand how to assign an application policy to a team, refer to the guide โ€œHow to assign application policy to a team? โ€
