The Apps/URL Report gives you insights into what applications and websites your team uses during their work hours. It helps you answer questions like:
Which apps are used most frequently?
How much time is spent on each app or website?
Which tools are taking up the biggest chunk of your team’s online hours?
📁 Two Tabs, Two Ways to View
1️⃣ Summary Tab – See Total Usage at a Glance
In this tab, you can see how much time was spent on each app/URL over the entire date range you've selected.
✅ Example:
Let’s say you’re looking at employee Anita for the week May 1st – May 7th.
Employees | Apps/URLs | Type | Usage % | Usage Duration | Active Duration |
Anita | Gmail | App | 25% | 5h | 4h |
Anita | WhatsApp Web | URL | 10% | 2h | 20min |
Anita | Excel | App | 40% | 8h | 6h |
Anita | YouTube | URL | 25% | 5h | 30min |
Usage Duration: Total time the app/URL was open while Anita was online.
Usage %: Percentage of Anita’s total online time spent on that app/URL.
Active Duration: Time Anita was actively engaging with the app (mouse/keyboard input).
🧠 So if Anita had 20 hours of online time, her 8 hours on Excel means 40% usage.
🔄 Group By Options
You can choose to:
Group by Users: See what each employee used.
Group by Organisation: See total time spent across the organization on each tool.
✅ Example: (Grouped by Organisation)
Apps/URLs | Type | Usage % | Usage Duration | Active Duration |
Gmail | App | 20% | 200h | 150h |
Excel | App | 30% | 300h | 240h |
YouTube | URL | 10% | 100h | 12h |
This helps you understand which tools are most used across the company.
2️⃣ Datewise Tab – See Daily Usage Trends
This tab shows a daily log of app or URL usage over the selected date range. It's ideal for spotting daily trends, behavioral patterns, or sudden changes in tool usage.
Just like the Summary tab, this view also supports two grouping options:
🧑🤝🧑 Group by Users (Default View)
See each employee’s usage for each app or URL, broken down day by day.
✅ Example:
If you select May 1–May 3 for employee Anita, you’ll see:
Date | Employee | App/URL | Type | Usage % | Usage Duration | Active Duration |
May 1 | Anita | Excel | App | 50% | 4h | 3h |
May 2 | Anita | Gmail | App | 30% | 2h | 1.5h |
May 3 | Anita | URL | 15% | 1.5h | 10min |
👉 Great for understanding what each person did daily, and how engaged they were with each tool.
🏢 Group by Organisation
This view combines all employee data and shows the total app/URL usage for the organization on each day.
✅ Example:
Date | App/URL | Type | Usage % | Usage Duration | Active Duration |
May 1 | Excel | App | 40% | 20h | 15h |
May 2 | Gmail | App | 25% | 12h | 10h |
May 3 | YouTube | URL | 10% | 8h | 45min |
👉 Useful for high-level analysis of company-wide trends. For example, if YouTube usage spikes on Fridays, you’ll see it here.
